5 MILLION VIEWERS
Latest news is that over 5 million people have seen our CycleHero commercial in the Cinema. This is a fantastic number who have heard our messages. Cycling is good for you, and good for the environment. The commercial is still showing in many cinemas across the country, thousands of DVD copies of the film are in circulation and tens of thousands have viewed the film on the web site and on YouTube etc, so we all have an opportunity to keep spreading the word.! CYCLEHERO WEEK July 14th to 22nd was designated as CycleHero week by CTC clubs who organised rides and events across the UK with fantastic turnout and support - despite the wet weather! CYCLEHERO FILM WINNERS We recieved a large number of great short films as entries in the CycleHero win a £1,500 Specialized bike competition. After much deliberation the winning entry was selected as Karen McGovern for her film Supercycle. We thoroughly enjoyed reviewing all the great films. TOUR DE FRANCE The start of the most famous cycle race of them all kicked off in central London on July 7th and moved on to Kent on the 8th. Hundreds of thousands turned out to cheer them on - and CTC were there promoting the CycleHero message. See National Events page for details and photos.
